Can An Individual Own Two Domain Names?

October 12th, 2009 by Cheap Web Hosting Leave a reply »

I have a registered domain name which I use for my web site. My question is, can I obtain/register another different domain name and use it for the same purpose, my web site. In other words, both would lead people to my web site.
I’m unable to find any information on yahoo if this can be done.

yes you can, you can even do it so that when anyone types in the 2nd domain name they will be automatically re0directed to the original one.
if you have any other queries drop me a mail at shaun@sdhinternet.co.uk

    yes, you can.
    example:
Google owns the rights to both google.com AND gogle.com, just for the misspellings, both domains lead to the same site, google.

Yes it is very common for one owner to have several site and have most redirected to the main site.
    If you had..
    http://www.MySite.com
    You may want to acquire
    http://www.MySite.net
    http://www.MySite.org
    http://www.MySite.biz
and have them redirected to the main site. Very common and can be done with a simple html code.
