Can Anyone Give Me Information About Domain Names?

January 18th, 2010 by Cheap Web Hosting Leave a reply »

I’d like to buy a domain but I have a few questions that I’d like answered.
1) Where is the cheapest place to buy a “.com” domain name?
2) Do I have to pay for the domain name yearly or is it a one time payment?
3) How do I set up a domain name?
4) Whereis the cheapest place to buy a “.net” domain name?
5) Where is the cheapest place to buy a “.org” domain name?
6) How can you make multiple domain names lead to one place?
7) What does registering a domain name mean?
8) Do you have to register your domain name? If so, why? If not, why?
And please add any extra information you think i may need to know. I really need the help! >.<

Don’t trust any cheap service, many of them don’t allow you to have full control on your domain name. If you’re going to buy domain names, http://www.goldpuma.com is the lowest cost service which is full-featured and really works for you ($9.99 /year). They offer free extras with every domain name:
    Quick Blogcast
    Hosting with Web site builder
    Personalized Email Account
Starter Web Page For Sale/ Parked Page
    Domain Forwarding
    Domain Masking
    100-Pack Email Forwarding
    Total DNS Control
    Change of Registration
    Status Alerts
    Domain Locking

Take a look at http://hortense-ellis.com (being worked on but no matter)
Totally free .com domain from Microsoft Office Live – comes with 50 e-mail addresses (try a Google search for HORTENSE ELLIS – the site is there)
You can choose any domain name provided it is not already in use. Microsoft do ask for a credit card number but that is solely for ID purposes and they never take a cent.http://smallbusiness.officelive.com/?clo…
