I bought these last year, and when searching the name it would appear that the domain name is the same as the name used in reference to the banks share groups, i have them for sale on sedo, but wondered if its possible and how you would go about approaching the bank direct to offer them the domain names.

If they wanted these names they would have bought them before you did.
You could try contacting the head office of the bank group but you should not anticipate success. Cyber-squatting is not well regarded and will not be encouraged by big fat pay-offs. Long standing law is sufficient for the bank group to prevent you from committing the offence of ‘passing off’ (not that you would ever do that, of course) and newer law is sufficient to prevent you being able to profit from domain name ransom.
I used to work for a big national company that was regularly approached by cyber-squatters who’d paid for domain names that included or were confusingly similar to the company name or its trade-marked products. It took a hard line with all of them, often taking legal action to protect it’s brand. Hope you didn’t pay too much for the domain names.
If they wanted the domains they put in an offer usually on the parked page.
