I Very Recently Found Out About Selling Domain Names On Ebay. Would Anybody Have Information To Give About It.

I would like to make a profit on the internet. I found out that you can use Godaddy.com to create a domain name and then sell it in a auction. I was just wondering if someone would know more about this or know someone that has done this. Did it bring positive results or not.

Yes you can do it, but like everything else in life it takes a lot of work to make it successful. I have bought and sold domain names on eBay with mixed results.
If you are going to proceed I would suggest creating only generic domain names that are descriptive of products or services someone would sell like: cdplayers.com or computers.com. Names along those lines sell better than made up names with no meaning.
Also beware of trademarks and typo’s of trademarks. You will see a lot of those on eBay but stay away from them as you can get in legal trouble.
Watch the auctions for a couple of days and you will get a good idea of what prices names are selling for and then determine if it’s worth your while.
    Good Luck

You should be able to select good domain names which are in demand. There are registrars which are cheaper than GoDaddy, you can get domains for as little as $1.89

Like anything else on eBay it depends on how badly a person wants what you’re selling. I have not sold domain names on eBay, but if someone wanted a particular domain name wouldn’t they just go to GoDaddy.com and get it?
It sounds to me like a good way to end up with a bunch of listing fees and domain names you can’t get rid of, but that’s just me. If a domain name I want isn’t available I use a bit of creativity until I find something that works for me….that is why one of my domain names (fanzstuff.com) is misspelled, but it still gets a lot of traffic.
