If Geocities Web Hosting Closes Down, Won’t The Search 5 Billion References In Search Engines Also Be Removed?

There are so many references to geocities sites where vital information is stored by millions of users. I think Geocities is too big to be removed. What a gaping hole in the internet! Grrr!
