If you don’t want hosting you’ll have to run your own server. And you’ll have to write the site yourself. Or, my advice, buy hosting and hire a website developer to do it right. Would you make your own TV and print ads? Would you be your own attorney? Then why maintain your own web server and develop your own site? (And, if you do it wrong, you can be financially liable for a whole lot that you don’t want to be liable for. Leave it to someone who knows the pitfalls, and keeps you from falling into them.)
