Choosing a domain name can experience a challenging and frustrating. It can also be a fun and rewarding experience, a test of your creative skills, and self-disclose a lot of different levels!
My business is called Rational Environmental Solutions, I have several different variations, including the replacement of solutions, services, or simply call them solutions tried, so I can later add more sections, but I finally settled on this variation was that itsaid what I wanted to say, and the domain http://www.rationalenvironmentalsolutions.com was available. If you have already guessed, this was not a good choice for a domain name, even if a company's name, it seems to work just fine. It says I have to say, and get a good glimpse of my home state different agencies when they are looking for eco-friendly companies to do work for the state. It's just not working well as a domain for it's length, and the very good chance it will be misspelled when typing in a browser.
So I went searching for another domain name, that at least provides an idea and society that I do. Most are just so long and unruly than the original, so I thought that since the company's name said I wanted to say that the domain does not necessarily have to fully describe the business. I have the domain name TEXPEST that describes where I am and what I do(Not, as I'm sure some of you think I am.) TEXPEST So, my domain name. While I was looking, I ran across a few others I like as well. Let me explain a bit about why I did not choose it for my primary domain, but recorded them anyway.
I came across my hometown version of the name I chose, TYLERPEST, since my hometown is one of the largest rose-growing areas in the country, and because it is the largest Municipal Rose Garden inthe country, it is sometimes called the "Rose City". ROSECITYPEST available. I live in the eastern part of the state of Texas, so since EASTTEXASPEST is long and difficult, and the double letters to contend with, I decided against that. However, I think ETEXPEST. ETEX, which is in general use in the field was much more appealing, but was rejected because it "was" confusing. TYLERLAWN were also available, but would not say what I wanted to say. I settled on TEXPEST,because it was big enough job in the whole country to cover, and short enough to easily remembered and typed.
I registered the fairly good choice as well, the competition to keep excess, and my "branding" to protect. I also wanted to use them a lot of other bases to cover. When someone types a service needed in a browser, they often, out of habit, please com to the end. So if they are looking for information on a Tyler disease and type it in ashes, tylerpest.com, they will goimmediately after a very short page that I did, ending something like this: ". If this is your problem, not pushing the panic button pressed, push the button solution" Bellow, or even in the sentence, the word is highlighted SOLUTIONS because I you've got the "meta" information in the html, which refers to my texpest site. Now, before I get emails telling me how bad it is, I want to let you know that my short pages, contains more useful content than most web pages. I share many of thevariations, and the rest, I "sent" using a 301 redirect to the main site. If you like, you're obviously welcome to try it out and see for yourself. This allowed me to get a few things to say in a little less of a professional show than I want on my site proper. (See [http://www.etexpest.com], for a giggle or two, especially if you live in a rural area!)
Now, when I find some of my matches, I ran into all kinds of small variations that, when clicked, will sendpeople directly to me! When it was all said and done, I had a very good advertising for my business, and a lot of fun to do.
