The other day ( I think this was a mistake) I typed in the domain name Id like to have and nothing came up (page does not exist showed). Today I am trying to purchase the domain but one of those fake pages is showing for the domain’s name now. So it is unavailable thought there is no real website there. What do I do? I am appling for social services. During the summer, before the application process, I rented web space and a domain name, which i am going to use as a portfolio for school work (i am taking web design). The dept of Social Services has implied that i have a business under the same name as the domain. I have not made any money from this website or alleged business nor have a done a DBA. Can they prove I have a business? The site is not used for commercial work.

Domains where nothing is being hosted by the owner, or do not resolve to anything, or doesn’t show a parked page or shows a generic placeholder page of the hosting provider or of the registrar where the domain was registered. Basically domain names which are not being used.
