What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Using Free Web Hosting And Having Your Own Web Server?
February 25th, 2010Free web hosting is not reliable. Web space is small, slow speed, sharing a server with lots of people.. the only advantage for free web hosting is “FREE”.
If you like to have a low cost web hosting, i would recomand you to use shared hosting and get 4 months free. This will be much more powerful than free hosting.
Shared Hosting
The shared web hosting is an inexpensive entry point for low traffic websites, running within the setup constraints of the standard accounts. As some sites expand, the shared hosting accounts become limiting.
Dedicated server
Performance – You are not sharing the system resources such as processor power, memory and disk space with other sites on the same server.
Greater Reliability – You do not run the risk of the server being slowed down, swamped with traffic, or crashed by another site on a shared server.
Security – As nobody else has access to the server you can be sure of having a much greater degree of security.
Custom Configuration – If you need to install special software or configure the server to your own particular needs then often a dedicated server is the solution.
Custom Firewall – Run your own custom firewall to enforce your own access control policy.
Your own IP address – Most shared hosting sites share a single IP address, with site traffic directed by the server examining `host headers’. In contrast your dedicated server has its own unique IP address.
Upgrade Path – More memory, disk space or extra processors can be added as the need arises.
You also can directly visit some of the provider for more detail information, I got one here http://www.webhostforasp.net
Is There A Vpn Router Under $1000 That Can Authenticate Using Domain Names & Not Ip Address?
January 3rd, 2010Our company is trying to set up a vpn router and recently found that when connecting to the network over it the router can only remote connect to desktops using ip addresses. This is a Linksys VPN router and we are looking for one comparable to it in price. Is there a router out there under $1000 that can allow users to remote into their desktops from home using domain aliases and not ip addresses. Such as instead of connecting to 192.168.0.1 they could connect to “companycomputer1″. Any help would be most appreciated.
How Do I Stop Spammers From Using My Domain Name?
November 9th, 2009I’ve got a web site with a great domain name but spammers have started using my domain name extension in their junk email. Basically they make up an email address using my domain name then send it out to their list.
Now when I send a legitimate email, spam programs are deleting my emails as spam. How do I stop the spammers?

Using 2 (or More) Domain Names For The Same Website?
October 23rd, 2009I have bought two similar domain names for a site that I want to set up. I only want to build one site obviously but I want both of the registered domain names to go to the same site. essentially what I want to do is build it under one of the registered domains and the other name to go there also if it is typed in. How should I do this? Thanks.
