I have registered a .net domain name. Thing is, .com is a mid-sized software consulting company based in the UK and dont think they are interested in selling the .com.
Will i have any issues if i host it on .net? Will i be able to sell through it? All this, besides making it popular….

The difference is only in the name. However the .net is usually linked to network or tech company, while .com in general means commercial, another alternative is .biz, which is less popular. Another alternative is using country specific domain, such as co.id, co.uk, co.us, etc. About selling it, well it’ll be popularity competition in google anyway, so good luck
